8) :love: Well I blinked and never even saw this one when it was posted and snatched up very fast. Looks to be a very nice X935CS.

That's not just any Endorser... that is Neal Keysers which is pictured on a few different sites, and the first one I ever saw about six years ago. S/N 3094768. Too bad about the changed pickups and wiring, still a cool find. Doesn't look like he was trying to take advantage of anyone on the price. Anyone here snag it? Mike.

How is he disen us? I have corresponded with Neal for years and found him to be a good guy and very knowledgable. Unfortunetly he now has health problems that interfere with his playing,

yesterday when I went on to the site RC blues had posted. He had an article about the guitar. at the end he talked being at odds the electra people how any pick up's were better than electra's and they put toy modules in there guitars. now it's gone.

Well I will give him the benefit of the doubt and not worry to much about the comments. They have been removed and let's face it we all have bad days especially if there are health problems involved. I know that if I had been unable to play during my recovery time and surgeries I would have gone nuts. Make the best out of the worst and Rock On. Semper Fi. :up:

I was not aware of that;

But there are a lot of guitars to own or play out in the universe;

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

Neal is the originator of the matsumoku web page. As such he has researched and freely offered a lot of information on Japanese guitars from late 60's through the 80's. He also is strongly opinionated. I don't mind when people don't like Electras. That just means all the more for me :D

Neal has also been a very good friend to this website... especially just prior to thorny graciously hosting it on his domain.... as i recall, this site was actually closed down for a while during which neal resurrected it and hosted it on his domain..... until new custodians and a new home could be found for it.

i bought my x-240 from him and in our discussions at that time, i don't recall him ever dissing the electra line.... what i do recall, is that he didn't care for the whole mpc thing... and that, he just saw as gimmicky.... and i know there have been similer discussions of that nature from current members of this site.... so, i don't think that point of view can be held against him

i never saw the comments that were referred to above, so i can't say for certain that he didn't say something derogatory.... however, for somebody who has owned numerous electras during his active playing time and who has only recently decided to sell his x-935 (a guitar that i know he has owned for more than ten years) because he is unable to play it as often as he would like, to be accused of 'dissing' the electra line is a terribly disingenuous statement...

but hey... thats just my two cents worth
