I got my 2275 new in '78, and still rockin' today! Everyone that plays this guitar says "wow this is great for a copy". I got it for budgetary reasons, it was the best new guitar I could afford at the time.

The mods I've done/had done: Seymore Duncan humbucker in the bridge position, brass nut, and I defeated/blocked the tremelo. With my all tube Peavey Encore 65, it sounds very good.

I'd like to see if I can rewire and install a 5 way switch, but I don't know how this is done, any advice would be great.

Keep on rockin' in the free world! (unless the government wants to take over rock n' roll too)

Hey 914...welcome. Lots of folks mod their strats with the 5-way switch...it's easily done. I decided not to mod my 2275 just to retain it's limitations. Still a pleasure to play and I use other strats when I want to quack a bit.

Put some pics up of it...we love pics.

And congratulations...I can't seem to hold onto anything for 30+ years, except what GOD gave me to work with at the beginning....and I'm losing some of that fast now.
