Hey guys-trying to find some original parts for a 2254 gold top carcass I just bought. Original neck and body,looks to be in great shape from photos but you know how that goes sometimes. I'm looking for bridge and tailpiece,tuners,electronics cover,truss rod cover and pickups-gold cover neck and zebra square pole bridge. Any or all,I would like to get this back to original as much as possible. Thanks-PM me or post here Joe

Hey Joe...I think I contacted the guy about that one. He must've been talking with you at the time 'cause he never got back to me about shipping. eBay is gonna be your primary parts source. It's a bit more difficult to restore an Electra than most other production guitars...parts are not as readily available. You may have to buy a beater and build one good guitar out of the best parts of the two. There was a jacaranda LP on eBay in pieces of late....that would have been a good donor for your project...but then you would have had to decide just which of those two should be restored....both quite nice instruments. That guitar was discussed elsewhere on the forum.

Hope I didn't step on your toes on that one,it was posted locally-took him 3 days to reply. Luckily all of my Electras to this point had been relatively complete-this one,not so much. The pots,caps and original wiring is all there-surprisingly unmolested. I have a set of original tuners,but they are chrome,not gold plated as original. I will probably use replacement tom bridge and stop bar,but I really would like to have original pickups back in it. I will probably pop some temporary units in until I can find others-I have a set of sh2 & sh4 jb duncans I could use or I was looking at some dirtydog pafs-ever played any? Reviews were great,price even better.
What I really need at this point is the original Electra lp pickup rings-these were slightly wider,different mounting hole positions than a normal ring.
Anybody out there have any? Gotta have,name your price!
