The Electra Forums

I recently purchased an Electra 2252 off of ebay. As you can see by the listing http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270601146188 the seller had this listed as Elektra. The seller's location was the St. Louis area. After researching and coming to this forum I knew it was Electra instead.

Here a couple of pictures before and after. The after pic is with different pickups installed. There was nothing wrong with the pickups that were in it, in fact I liked them. However, the custom wound High Order pickups are phenomenal and sound great in this guitar.

Welcome to the forum. Nice find. Is it a bolt neck? Be sure to hang on to the original pick ups.

It is a bolt on neck. I'm definitely keeping the pickups, as I said before, they are nice sounding. I'd like to find another guitar to put them in Currently though, I'm building a tele partscaster.

Does anyone know which graph tech saddles will fit the original bridge? Mine were chipped and cracked and I put another bridge on for now but would like to put the original back on.

Thanks to both of you for the welcome. I really like that Jacaranda currently on ebay. Do any of you check musicgoround for Electras? There are a lot on there currently and some look to be at decent prices.

I have'nt heard of that one, but I'll check it out. Thanks for the info.
