And what everyone wants to know is whether you have the old pickup?! :D Welcome here, Weesgsta - I'm a Spectrum/Phoenix fan and really like these old single p'up guitars; brilliant players, eh!!

I appreciate it man! Nope, the music store that put the pickup in for me threw it away they said. I asked for it back cause I was decorating my room at the time in guitar stuff.

You got robbed man. Any guitar shop worth it's spit knows that those Japanese pickups are worth something, to someone... sorry, just the messenger here. Nice video clip, what were you playing through?

Welcome to the forums and thanks for letting us check out your axe. I agree that you got wronged on the pickup unless it was a non working pup. Those old pups really scream and have power to spare.

I appreciate the compliment. I was playing through a ibanez combo amp. I didn't know that about the pickups... I replaced them when started playing cause I bought it as my first guitar and assumed the pickups was bad. Wow, I really got the shaft. I bought the guitar for $140 at a small music store ran by an old man in his 70s.

Your first decent guitar huh... well far be it for me to tell you what to do, but I bet just about every guy on here wishes he still had that first real guitar from Highschool back. Think about holding on to it. Mine was a Ibanez AR50, which is basically a painted Artist without the fancy stuff, and I still look for them from time to time.

I like the way the inner planks on your X110 are darker than the outer pieces with the darkest being in the center, also like that the planks are all about the same size and evenly spaced, often the bodies were just a hodge podge of wood laminated together, but that one looks unique, and cool.

Sorry about your pickup incident, hope we didn't open up an old wound. Worse case you can still get them, no less than three different MMK auctions on eBay currently. Welcome aboard, and tell us what other Electras have caught your eye, Mike.

Yeah I think I will hold on to it. I know in a few years I will regret it.

My first guitar was an X130, and I still have it. It's no longer my only Phoenix :)

Haha, I only want my first guitar back because it was my first. This might date me a little, but my first was a Yamaha SE300 with a weird metaillic purple/fuscia color changing paint on it. I traded it for 3 sets of snow ski's and I live in TN. What a bad memory.

Well It turns out I do have the original knobs, I was gonna keep it but im gonna go ahead and sell it. I know you guys get tired of hearing this but how much do you think it is worth without the original pickups?

Hard to determine in this case as I think the original pups made the distinct sound that made the guitar. My guess would be in the range of $125 or more depends on the buyer. Good luck.
