So there's a limit to JD's gulping voraciousness. Mileage counts. Asheville is maybe close enough to turn it into shipville for you JD. Be my hero - dude that's a cheap set neck.

Thanks for the welcome. I have been a long time lurker and have been the owner of a 2278 Corsair bass for 28 years.

28??? That's all? JK - That must be just about the first Corsair Bass ever. Can you post pictures ( I know I can't (easily)), I guess you're happy with 28 years of service?

I will post pics in Electra discussion forum when I get a chance (1 year old boy @ home). I have had no complaints about how it plays in 28 years and have had lots of offers to sell from other players. I bought it used for $165.00 in 1982 with OHSC. Only mods done were: removed string cover, removed thumb rest replaced bridge pickup with a bartolini in 1982, replaced flat wound strings with round wound, and installed strap locks. Luckily I kept all original parts.

Hey JD, how hard did you get hit by the recent flood? I hope your house (and Man Cave) escaped unharmed man, best of luck, Mike.

It wasn't too bad around here at the junction of the Neuse and Trent rivers. We had around 17" of rain over the week...I only know about 6 homes flooded and two mobile home parks, all on small creeks....but these areas always flood during hurricanes, so those folks are most likely used to it. A few garages went in the water here in RIver Bend...but this time, hey....it was clean water. There are still a couple roads under water and a bunch of trees that toppled....but definately nothing we can't handle here in hurricane alley.

The wife and I spent all day yesterday cleaning up the yard...lots and lots of limbs down from the wind and wet. Thanks for asking.....

jd

Glad to hear you are all well and safe. I went through several hurricanes there in the 80's while at MCAS Cherry PT NC. Great place to live.
