This one looks nice if you like the SG's with a bigsby. Price is low for now and it looks clean and original also. Take a look :look: :look:

You know my penchant for the original body styles, but I am going to make a run for this one, unless someone else pipes up... I know, all's fair in love and eBay, Mike.

Good luck. These are actually very nice axes. I have an early 72 or so model with stop tail (laminated wood) that is a great player. These later models were better improved and even better.

No, I did not get this one. And I kinda regret it, but hey, the kids have to eat Right? Whomever did win it is relisting it at $600:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Electra-2259-Vintag ... 2a0b91b400

Same exact guitar, even has the contact paper on the pickguard under the Bridge still. Kinda doubt he'll get 6 Bills for it. It is a nice example, although I'm not a huge Bigsby or plastic saddle fan, which is why I didn't bid the heck out of it the first time it was listed.

It kind of burns me up when people buy something for $325 and then list it for $600 though! This is the kind of speculative behavior that drives the prices on stuff up. It also made me chuckle in his Auction text where he says "There is not another one on Ebay, I don't believe you will see another one around any time soon. " even though he just acquired it a month ago on eBay! OK, just jealous here I guess. I should have bid more... ah well, win some, lose some. Mike.

I agree 100%. If i did not like a guitar that I bought I would not expect to make in excess of 100% profit on it just because I do not like it. I would ask only what I paid for the guitar and shipping. Good for me that I like them all lol. I do not think he will have any interest at that price. Will most likely end up make an offer bid. Nice Axe but not that nice.

Well, I guess my point was that this guy didn't buy it to play or enjoy it... he bought it at a reasonable price (I and others did not excessively bid it up) and now wants to make a profit on it. Which is obviously anyone's right to do, but it is not necessarily in the Guitars best interest, or that's my story and I'm sticking to it. Bottom line is that I shouldn't let it bug me, but it kinda does. Mike.

I want every Electra on the 'Bay to pull $1000 or more... as soon as I have a hundred of them in the basement.

We're not yet at a point in the market where Electra speculation, as seen in this series of transactions, is particularly profitable.

I tried to double Robotdr's money on that Workingman he bought on the way to EF2010 but he wouldn't hear of it!

Here's a Workingman that I was watching:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... _743wt_869

Somebody finally snatched it up for $230 shipped. Walnut stain example in nice shape, late production with the Bird logo and serial number stamped into the neckplate... ah, the great pieces continue to torture me.

It must be the Scot in me, I like to get a lot of Value for my buck. Which is why Jack many of us are torn between the Brand getting the recognition it deserves and the climbing prices that will surely ensue. Mike.
