I've asked if he'll ship......but doesn't look like it with the cash verbiage he has on there. Anyone in Huntsville? It's about 2 hours away for me. I can't get there today/tomorrow.

I saw that one also, and agree that it looks like the seller is looking for a local sale from the ad. Changed knobs, and changed pickup rings (at least), not sure if I trust that the MMK pickups are still in there because of that. On the other hand this is one of the rare 'flame top' Invicta's. Someday I'll snag one... Mike.

Yeah, 2 bills is super reasonable even if some parts have been changed.

I'd pick it up tomorrow, but my father passed away and I'm busy this weekend doing all the necessary things. It would make a nice break though.

We're so sorry to hear that Sand... that really puts things into perspective, guitars are pretty silly things in the grand scheme. Hit me like a ton of bricks, take care of yourself, Mike.

My condolences on your loss. I recently lost my father also. Just try to remember all the good years and good times you had together. I was blessed enough to have had my father for many years. He was 92. Best wishes to you and your family.

Hey Sandspur,my condolences to you and your family, sorry to hear about your loss.
I guess I need to check the forum more often-I have been negotiating with this fella for over a week now-just sent him the cash last night, hope it turns out well. He says the necks straight, original pup's-I guess we'll see. If someone is trying to make a deal on an Electra somewhere, post a heads up-I don't like f-ing up someones horsetrading and I'm ALWAYS looking :look:
Joe

Sorry for your loss Sandspur. I lost my Dad last Feb, he would have been 82 on his next birthday. Never easy, even though we all know it's going to happen. The thing that has helped me the most is that he told me to keep it all in perspective, and not to let his passing slow me down with my life, and taking care of my family.

In a perfect world we die before our kids, and that should be the normal progression of things. "just like in the Lion King" my little boy said many years ago.

My condolences, and I hope you had a good relationship with your Dad, and left nothing unsaid.

I haven't heard back from this guy - He did say he was talking to a local buyer. I guess that would be you. Good luck.

Well... I won't deal with this guy. No matter how nice the guitar is. This is a good example of bad-faith practice. He can stick it where the sun don't shine.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I appreciate it. Hopefully one of you guys snatches this up at the original price.

:x :x It seems that there are more and more sellers doing this type of fishing now. Throw a price out on one of the net sites and see how many bites and interest you get then if you get alot of interest then re-list on another site or same site at a higher price. Whatever happened to the old reliable handshake and an honest deal. Call me old fashon but I still believe in my word and a handshake. I don't blame you for not wanting to deal with him. I can understand that delays, or problems can arise but at least keep the interested party informed and not just forget them.
