I did not know they made a red version of the Futura Bass. I have the Black one and I love it but never seen a red one. Maybe it's a re-finish? Any ideas on this one anybody?

Probably a refinish, but you never know. I like the random picture of the Guitar Hero controller.

Who needs a Fender Jazz when you can get a perfectly good Spectrum bass for $50?

I agree on the refinish as the headstock is still original Black. Would be neat to have the red futura Bass and guitar to match. I like my black one also it plays great.

Actually the necks and headstocks in the Electra-Westone transition year (and on most/all post-merge Westones) were pretty much all black regardless of the instrument's body finish. So the black headstock doesn't rule out the (small) chance of it being a weird original.
