I think it has been confirmed for the second time now that this listing is not for an Elvin Bishop model:

I believe that one is an X410 Jazz strad. I have sent numerous e-mails to this gentleman but no changes were made to add.

I also have had correspondence with this fellow. If I remember correctly, he has it in storage somewhere and is perfectly content to leave the price where it is. He thought that sooner or later someone would buy it. He might be right but it's kind of a shame to have that guitar sitting in storage.

nice guitar, but it is NOT and elvin bishop model, but a jazz strad as mortarman points out... somebody should notify ebay that this guy is trying to pass it off for something it isn't :x :x

I see what you mean, the binding is incorrect unless the EB came with the tortise shell at some point.

The elvin also has the vine inlay and not the trap style inlay position markers. It is a X410 for certain no doubt. It is a nice one but not that nice.

This guitar has been discussed here before. I contend it's had some serious damage history. Look at the neck joint. There's a crack that runs along the binding at the neck and then across the top near the pick up.

Maybe it's had a quality repair, but if the guy doesn't answer questions, there's probably a reason.

Important quotes to note from the listing:
"No returns"
"$20 local pick up fee"
"Let's all have fun and bid to win"

It sounds like the guy may have a plaid sports coat, and history as a used car salesman! Run away, run away!!!

I suspect he's racked up a couple hundred in listing fees by now.

I'm not an eBay aficionado, but does that mean he will charge $20 for me to come pick it up?

That's silly.

That's 20 bills + tax if you go pick it up.
