Can't see eBay at work right now. Is this fundamentally an X199... set neck, triple pickups, all the coil tap and out of phase stuff?

Set neck indeed; the LX was a bolt neck, Bendmaster FT trem with behind the nut string locks. I reckon that's probably a really good price if it's in any sort of reasonable condition...

I have the feeling that the finish on the Phoenix was quite a lot thinner than the finish on the Spectrums....

Do these usually go for around $280? Just seems like too much to me unless it's in "like new" condition.

I have a 1981 Phoenix and a 1986 Spectrum ST and the finish on both is about the same. I stripped the '81 to bare wood and the finish was thick--more like an epoxy than paint.

Since there are no bids - I think $280 including shipping would be decent. Looks to be in pretty nice shape. I don't see the bendmaster with the original whammy too often. The FX is basically an upgraded X185 - better trem and set neck. Not a bad deal in my book.

Looked nice but no buyers or bidders at that price so I guess we will have to see if it shows up again.

Ahhh.... that's what my white ST is like, too - ridiculously thick finish - , but the blueburst finish on my X195 just seems, well, thinner?!
