I'm bidding on this one. Hopefully no one else at all will be interested in this ugly and commonplace POS Japanese doo-doo.

I'm thinking about the BIN....I hope someone buys it before I decide to pull that trigger. It'll be another 2-3 years before another surfaces in this condition. I wish there was a better case with it though. Does this belong to anyone here ???

I don't see a buy-it-now on this, unless there was one before someone bid on it. You better hope that UltraSonic doesn't see this before the end of the auction, as he really liked the Leslie I took to ElectraFest 2010!

As trivia, these are one of the few MPC's that had the three way pickup selector (the other two being the X960 Ultimas and the X930 Dot Neck Vulcans. They also have the fattest neck I've ever felt on a Electra (at least mine does!). I think this is a good indication that Leslie actually had something to do with the design of this guitar, as he is famous for using LP jr's, which were a slab bodied guitar, and all the early Gibsons had huge necks on them.

I bought mine almost exactly a year ago, and I don't remember seeing another one since, although I guess I could go check the past ebay sales thread! They are rare, I would be very surprised if they made more than 400 of them. Here's my beat up and well loved X120 that I paid well under the opening bid on the one up currently, enjoy, Mike.

There was a BIN up there for 850 or 875 some kind of real high number. It did disappear after the min bid though. :rofl:

Well you all know how bad my EGAS is so I am afraid I am thinking seriously about this one also as it is indeed a hard to find model and is on my wish list along with the X910. Someone please take away my EGAS for XMAS. Maybe Santa will catch it away from me when he shows up but my luck will be he shows up with an Electra. This is a very nice one indeed. Good Luck to all.

This is gonna be an interesting auction for us Electra folks...I'm plannin in on this one too.

Serial Number is 11591;

I don't believe it's a 1981 model as stated -

The serial number is only 4 higher than my X340 from 1977 - 11587;

That is the closest one I've seen since being a member of this forum.

Is anyone keeping track serial numbers?

:bawl: Looks like I will have to take the hit for this one guys. My wifes sister lives in St Pete so she had her sister go buy it local for my XMAS gift. I did not know it until she heard me grumbling about the auction closing as I had a bid in also. I was needless to say agrivated when I got the mail stating the auction was closed. I can't fuss to much at her but she paid a premium price for it. Maybe now she won't fuss about my EGAS. I will post pics when I get it. I was willing to take my chances with everyone else but was also prepared to go all in if needed. I guess my EGAS is contagous. I hope it will not be the case in her part as she uses my wallet lol. Would have been a great surprise to find it under the tree. :roll: :oops:

Darn, I wanted to see this one go the full course.

As a side bar, and another one I didn't act quick enough on, I saw a X120 West at the Atlanta GuitarCenter used listing early this morning, by the time I got around to looking it up at noon it was taken off of the listings. I know I should have sent up a flare, but I was going to contact them to see if it had a case and if the MPC circuit was still intact (the pickups and nut had been changed at the least...).

It goes to show that you have to act fast if you really want something I suppose.

What, are you saying mine isn't nice enough for the coffee table book Jack? I think guitrails X120 is a pretty clean example. Cheers, Mike.

Glad to see this go to an EF member.

One nice thing about prices going up so dramatically in the second half of the year is that we're starting to see some really nice axes appear on eBay.

I would have liked to see this one run it's course also but I was in with a max bid of $777.77 for what its worth. This one and the X910 models are always gone very quickly when they show up and I agree with the prices going up we are certainly seeing more of the harder to find models showing up and most seem to be in nice condition at the high range prices. I hope for all our EGAS syndromes that the prices stay low but is is indeed nice to see the Electra brands getting some long overdue attention at last. Maybe this is the start of a trend as was the Outlaw and maple pro listings of late. Had a long drought on those models and then all of a sudden they showed up in one or two months same as the Outlaw and Rick Bass models.

That's two now Arthur....this one and the Burgundy Pro. You're gonna have to give me a break so I can get one once in a while. :x

Just kiddin...I saw this one not long after it came to auction and decided to ponder it a while, so it's my fault. Next time though....watch out. If I see a 910, I'm gonna jump instead of think. :hyper: :hyper:

I had an opportunity at the last X910 that came up and pondered also and when I went back to get it it was gone also. I also delayed on Ozarks Jacarranda and Pro got it first. I am still looking for several more, Magnum, SG Tree of Life, X510, and a few others also so I won't get them all. As I stated I was ready fro battle on this one with my Bid set at $777.77 but never figured I would get beat out by my own wife. Lol.
