Last night, on the way to the Dave Brubeck 90th birthday concert with the Cleveland Orchestra, I met a fellow in a parking lot to buy an X290. Based on the Craigslist ad I'd expected it to be a basketcase; it was covered with "Satriani" designs. I was going to have it repainted, refinished, and fixed up without regard to originality, since it had already been "messed up".

Imagine my surprise to find that it was a very solid, player-grade X290. The designs had been added with a silver paint marker and I am reasonably certain they will all come right off with some acetone.

If they do, I will offer this to the community since I already have one decent X290 plus the ozarkcannon Grec-O-Lectra. I'll take some shots. Thinking it would be $199 shipped and Paypaled to your door.

If anybody wants it, let me know. I will have photos up in the middle of the week.

That's the very one! I paid $85 for it, assuming I would need to put hundreds on bucks in it. Now, I think a few hours and a pro setup will be just right.

:hyper: Glad to see it can be returned to it's original; finish and beauty. I also saw it and thought it was to far gone to salvage other than for parts. Will be waiting to see how it turns out. Good Luck. These guitars have great wood so it should clean up nice.
