The X195 is not just another Phoenix. Only available in Blueburst (apparently), it is the only Electra to ever sport the S/H/S pickup configuration. This blurb from the index has some good background, including Tom Presleys take on that setup:

I've only seen two come up in the two years I've been keeping sales records, go crazy gents, Mike.

To you?!?!

You're right, pro - not just another Phoenix; sort of Phoenix +... :D There was Westone Thunder III, mark 3 with the same layout, and they're even more uncommon than this beauty!

LOL, that was mine... It was my 3rd X195B I've had in my 20+ years of Electra's. I just love the necks on those. As a matter of fact, I still have the neck from the very first. Over the years, it's been stripped to bare wood and fits my hand like a glove. I had to mod it a bit, but managed to put it on a strat body I had. Now it's my go to guitar.

Cool thing was, I met Jack and chatted a bit about Electra's. It's really nice to meet other people who have a passion for them. Most people I talk to around here think I'm an idiot for buying them. I'm actually looking at trading for an early 70's Electra strat. I've never owned one that early and don't know a whole lot about them, so I guess we'll see :) Here's the CL ad: http://columbus.craigslist.org/msg/2117447978.html

Jack, I hope that one works out for you. Can't wait to see the book and maybe talk again.

Think about posting them in the forums before you put them up on CL. We love the chance to buy before you sell to the rest of the world. And they go to someone who knows about Electras.
