With the active circuit, this baby is probably my favorite. It really screams. It's still in mint condition. I like it!

It would probably look good painted purple. My Futura already has a bad rap because of that Prince reference.

However, it has a natural wood beauty that is equally or more impressive. Mine appears mint with the exception of a little playing (another lucky purchase).

I would like to hear other owner comments on this particular model and how you like or dislike it.

If they would have combined this with the Phoenix model (199?) that has the push/pull knobs for middle and humbucker neck and bridge pickups and three way selector switch (minus the tremelo)... I would have to say it might be the best ever guitars made.

Any thoughts?

The X635 is the Laminated Phoenix Bass, usually has dark stained outer wings like the X149 and X150, although there are more than a few with Blonde or Natural wings also. They don't come up too often.
