Here's another one for your headstock page McBrat. This is a X290 that just recently went up on the block and it has a logo layout that I've never seen before, the serial number dates it to September of 1983, so this would have to be one of the last Workingman (men?) made:


I've seen similar ones like this one from the index page more than a few times:


Just thought it was interesting, and worth noting. The seller is asking a ton for this, so not anything I'm going after, but still pretty rare. Mike.

Hey i have that same exact head stock on my black x290 workingmen do u know anything more about it? Also how much is a "ton"

The vast majority of Workingmen would have the Peacesign logo, the 'Bird' logo would only be used in 1983 (ok, December of 1982 until about October of 1983...). I've only seen this pattern (with the Letters between the tuners) on this example, but it's not like I've been hunting them for decades or anything, so maybe they are more common than I knew.

I believe this one eventually sold for around $350, but originally it was listed over $400 which is pretty lofty for these models, although truth be told there are lots of lesser guitars out there that routinely sell for more.
