http://cgi.ebay.com/VINTAGE-1972-ELECTR ... 45f881c586

Pups date to '74.

I got a rest spell a few minutes ago and decided to take a quick look at the newest eBay listings for a good deal. Thought I might beat Arthur to something, maybe. But WOW....when this one came up, it ruined my attitude. Well...back to pressurewashin the house.

He must have forgotten to add that the case is 24 K solid gold for him to ask that price. Will the madness ever end. I understand the make an offer idea but why throw out such an outrageous price and then say best offer? Makes no sense to me. i would rather know what they want for it or at a reserve if they do not want to list a price. I have multiple electra shadows, used strings,mirroe images etc to sell for only 1,000,000.00 or best offer. this offer is only valid on a sunny day before sunrise. Great deal right.

How are the pickups from 1974? Is there a reference to that? Did you notice that the pickup is in the right orientation in one photo, then in backwards for all the others?? The guy put it in wrong after taking it apart to photograph... what a noob.

Nisshin Onpa (Maxon) used a pickup serial number format consisting of 5 numbers up to and including those made through 1977. Ibanez Super 70 pickups have the same serial number format.

* First number = Nisshin Onpa (Maxon) pickup code (1, 2, etc)
* Second number = Year (7=1977)
* Third number = Month (0=Jan ... 9=Oct then .=Nov, X=Dec)
* Fourth and Fifth number = Day of Month (01-31)
