This is a nice looking all original X420 Custom Pro model (black). This is a great playing electra model and at a good price. Someone grab this one :look:

I would love to buy this. Wish it showed up next week as I have my Kawai ES 175 on the bay right now and need to sell it first. I'm sure this will be gone by then....

Spur...shoot the guy an email. I've had folks ask me for 7-14 days to pay and I had no problem with that. I've even taken payments over a month period from an eBay purchaser.

Never know till you ask. Good luck....these are great guitars. I'm still lookin for the VS version myself.

Mortar,

Is the VS a sunburst? Also, the serial on this one is 010105. Does this make it made in '80?

Yes the VS is a sunburst of this same guitar. From your seria number 010105 should break down as follows: 0=1980 10=October manufacture 105=number in production line for that month(this was the 105th guitar mfg in October 1980) If I am wrong then someone please correct me. The 410VS can be seen here on the forums index list http://www.rivercityamps.com/electrapag ... 002-053313 It is a stunner in sunburst. Congrats on the score and hope you enjoy it.

Thanks RCS. Me too! I had been looking for a "335 style" guitar to replace this other guitar I am selling. You know how it is, I can't exactly downsize as I don't have that many and even if I did, I don't think I could do it either. It was also a good opportunity for me to get another Electra which I'd wanted.

Alright, well I went to the post office today to pick it up. The guitar is in nice shape for a 30 year old. It plays very nice! There are a couple of small nicks in the finish. It also looks like someone replaced the pickguard bracket screw and used one too long. When I took the pickguard off, I found that it had nicked the finish underneath.

When I first took the guitar out of the case, I noticed that there was something moving around inside. I pulled the back cover off and found a couple small pieces of solder floating around. I removed those and the rattle was gone. At the same time, I noticed it has been rewired. They did a nice job at least and used CTS pots. I saw some posts about these having coil splt, but I don't think so. At least not this one. The pickup wires are only 2 wire so I don't know how it could have been split before. Maybe just the VS had a split?

Anyway, here's a quick picture. It's not very good but I'll get it outside for a better pic when it isn't raining.

And here are my 3 SLM guitars. I know......some of you guys are 30+.

Very nice. I don't think tou can split coils with 2 conductor wire - at least I don't know how to do it. I'm also a pretty big fan of Alvarez acoustics - at least the older ones. Really good guitars for the money. Enjoy that Custom Pro!
