Found this one while lurking around the net. this one looks as if it was stowed away under a bed or some other hiding place. It looks all original and with some TLC will be a beauty again. No clue if electronics etc are working or not but they are all there. I would think it just needs some polishing and contact cleaner and will look great again and can be enjoyed and played again. Hope someone here scores this one at a bargain. I considered it but I am thankfull that my egas has left me for awhile as I have enough to keep me busy now. Good luck to all. Would be great to see this one all cleaned up and alive again at Electrafest. :look:

I saw this one listed last night. Boy they aren't kidding when they say 'We Sell in the Condition Found'. Check out the spider web on the E tuner from the rear, that and the busted string that is just hanging there in most of the pictures. This guitar looks like it was seldom played, but stored terribly. There is mold all over the front, pitting on most of the metal parts, and I wouldn't rule out a bowed neck... just a mess. Maybe someone has the magic touch with a brillo pad, not me though.

I am almost certain this seller is out of Indiana and if its the people I think it is, don't expect any questions answered during the auction, or after wards for that matter. Shipping is pretty reasonable, but didn't used to be with these characters. Anyway, don't get too starry eyed... I'm staying away from it, Mike.

Thanks for the info Mike. this would be a workable restoration if the price stays low. I tend to think with the pics offered and no guarantee it is working that it will stay low. A good project guitar for certain I think. Good luck and hope it gets a new life. I have seen far worse examples brought back from the dead. I agree that the neck may be an issue if the truss rod does not work correctly. thanks Mike.

I'm not usually afraid of the cosmetic stuff or wiring and this doesn't look too bad, therefore, I'm bidding within reason. It really is a mess though and I'm worried about the neck too. Seems like the guitar has been through a flood and never properly dried out - almost guaranteed to have wiring issues. This ones a gamble for sure.

Good luck Jead. Hope the gamble pays off. Truss rod working or not, a hump in the neck is a hump in the neck, a twist a twist. This is the reason I got rid of my Kawai ES-175. It may work its way back over time, but I didn't have the time to keep setting it up over and over.

I can fix a hump even if it means taking off the fingerboard. A twist is just bad news. I don't think there's much I could do with that. I hope the price stays low because I really would like to bring back this one. It's a real possibility - almost a given in this case - that water damage has caused some issues. The mold/mildew is definitely a bad sign. At least there's no evidence of termites. Anyway, I have a real soft spot for all the walnut finish 1-1/2 cutaways, but I can't justify an all out bid on this. I'll keep watching and hope I'm not forced to drop out.

Jead, I hope this works out. It would be nice if you saved this one. I wonder though if that is really mold. If you look at the knobs, they are covered by a thick layer of grime. This may just be years of compounded dust and dirt.

I did look at that picture and kind of wondered what that was. I've never really seen mold grow on plastic - but it sure looks like some kind of growth.
