Are these prices right, the first had 2 replacement tuners, a missing saddle, and looks to be modded from what I can tell. I was looking at buying this, but thought the price was too high. I've looked at the spreadsheet and have noticed the natural invictas usually go for more, but this seems high. Am I missing something on this one?

Then there is this one. I know it's not an Invicta but looked it up in the spreadsheet too and thought it was high.

Thoughts on these?

I don't think you're missing anything. I thought the prices were too high as well. I had bids on both but stopped around the $175 mark on both. Prices are weird again. There was an X320 that didn't sell a couple times with opening bids set at $300 - it was listed again and got a BIN @ $400. I've listed my very nice X330 w OHSC a few times and get no action. FWIW - it's listed again (shh...reserve 315). Some of the starting prices are crazy too. X340 @799 and 4 or 5 bolt on 2200 series guitars starting at $700. I don't get it.

The Blonde X260N models are not up as often as the regular models and generaly bring a good price. I think that this one went a little high as it is modded with an extra switch and the tuners are not all original. I would have thought it would go for around $150-$180 range but I was proven wrong. The other listing also went a bit high. It seems that the Electra prices are on the rise but you can still find a good deal depending on what days you look. In general I think the auctions that end on weekends tend to go higher as they get more bidders. The auctions that end on Mondays, tuesdays, and thursdays seem to be the best prices with the least bids but not always. Thats my two cents worth.

I was interested in the X260n, but the problems and mods scared me off, what is worse is that Toledo Guitar Center just sold one (I missed it by one day...) for $250 with a case (dagnabit!!) Anyone got a X260n they want to move? Contact me.

I fear the days of the sub $150 Workingman is a thing of the past. This is a good thing if you already have yours... a bad thing if you're jonesing for one though.

But there are some deals out there still, this Nice X250 with a molded case went for $320, which is twice the guitar the workingman is for only $50 more:

And I believe Jack snagged this X165 for a song:

So, there are still good deals to be had if you're patient (and tenacious). Mike.
