Hello. A few of you may have seen my posts over at the Westone site or at Matsumoku as well. I have made it over here after months of lurking ( thanks Paul ) and of course am in need of parts straightaway.

I picked up an x185rd just 2 days past and would like to get it back to original trim. Everything was there but the whammy (anyone here found that legendary graveyard yet?) and the control knobs are all replaced with knurled chrome jobbers.

If anyone has one, or two, or (say-it-ain't-so) a trio they would be willing to sell I am wanting to speak with you.

Will post some pics once I find my feet here. If anyone could point me to the proper section for introductions, members pics, etc. I would be very grateful.

CHAAA-AAD.....COME OUT AND PLAAAA-AYE!!!! :hyper:

This trem arm works - I've used it on a few X185's.

The knobs can be found on ebay and in fact these look like they'll do the trick.

I think the iceman may be looking for the 'reverse' tapered knobs that are fatter on top (for easy pullin') I may be wrong...

I think you are correct. They will be a b@tch to find.

B@tch or no, whatever is correct for that original build is my 1st choice. The knobs on it now are sufficient and the knurl is easy to grip, but I'm always hopeful to get any if my axes back to original when I can. I assume someone here may need to bite a bullet to sell me three, but the auction watch threads here are really current and helpful.

I've got time.

Welcome to the forums and I will keep an eye open for those control knobs. they do appear from time to time but are one of the harder ones to find. They were the original knobs for that model I believe. If you need any assistance in posting pics I can post them for you. PM me. Thanks and welcome to the Forums. Mortarman120gang11c

As far as I can make out, the Switchmaster tapered knobs were primarily used on the Spectrums; the Phoenixes, by and large, seemed to have had speed knobs...

The Switchmasters are a beggar to find and I wish you you luck Steve - they do turn up every now and again on the 'bay....

Yeah, that'll do pig... that'll do.

Do those knobs seem rather cheddarish to anyone else's eye??

8) Cool Axe but I vote for the Black control knobs or maybe Brass.

I have 185 parts my friend..... mine looked just like your pic back in the day. I wish wish wish I never started chopping it up, it felt right at the time to mod it out.

I have the following original parts I would like to rid of as a whole:
All 3 knobs.
Neck w/tuners.
Bridge w/whammy.
Wiring harness with 3 pots, switch, & input jack.
1 bridge pickup .....don't ask me what I did with the other 2.

Make me an offer.
