This is an older model slimline and looks to be a PCM model.

I was just going to post a link to this asking what the deal was. The body having those 3-piece f-holes was throwing me off. Wondered if somebody had put an Electra neck on some other body. So this would be worth a 2 hour drive to check out??

well, when you look at the quality of the early, early Electras, it seemed to be hit and miss, and got better as the years went on and the Japanese factories got better at their craft... in the early 70's the PCM Electras were probably a lower price point than the SLM Electras, but there were still some nice examples, but I would venture to say the percentage of truly quality instruments was smaller and more hit and miss...
The PCMs seemed to be just a tad higher than the "Teisco" looking guitars... some of them had really good wood figuring, as can be seen in the tiger stripes of the other PCM slimline posted from CL in this forum...

When SLM introduced the Electra brand, is was replacing the Apollo brand which was a lower price point offering....

I guarantee if you got a better shot of that neck, it would be at least a 15 piece laminate neck. We've seen other PCM examples of this, but this was a Kawai trait at that time. You can pretty much make this out in the picture that is there, but a higher res picture would show it even better. This was a technique that was taken from the German luthiers of the time. The early Japanese guitars used European construction techniques rather than American construction techniques. Also, those pickups scream Kawai/Teisco. They aren't bad sounding on a quiet volume, but are extremely microphonic. I've owned one of these guitars and can tell you from experience. Mine were potted very soon after purchase.
