This one is 100% original stock and will remain so. Just some bridge adjustments and a touch of nut filing to better accommodate my wife's newly found interest in flatwounds.

That tortoise inlay is just so freakin' awesome. Quite a feat of workmanship IMHO and attention to detail that even the f-holes are given that treatment as well.

Two minor finish blemishes that will be touched up are all the cosmetic flaws to be found. The hardware has weathered to an expected patina I suppose, but at it's age if it were still shiny and bright most would assume that replacement parts were used at one time I suppose.

It will be back home in a couple more days and then the '64 Starfire IV will get hauled out for abit of a comparison test. I am anticipating no difficulties in clearing that hurdle. That Guild was the 1st guitar my wife ever bought and used to be number 2 in her pecking order.

Here are the after pics. Only changed out the strings as promised. Wife loves her new D'addario Chrome Flatwounds....















The last one is for sentimental reasons. A very compatible pair although the Guild does seem to be a smidge louder as an acoustic alone.

@ Mr. Tom P... how in the world were they ever able to build such fine details into these instruments and not break the bank. I still gape at that glorious binding, especially the soundholes themselves. You are to be congratulated sir.

That one is indeed a beauty....and that headstock veneer is killer. I wish all the Electra 335s had this sort of build detail, but this is just one of the things that makes the 410 a special guitar. Now you gotta get the 110 to go along with it.
