Well, I just read that catalog description above, and I'm still not sure if the electronics on this one is set up quite like that. The description says there is a 'Series/Parallel' switch, which maybe someone can enlighten me, but I thought that would only make a difference if both pickups were selected... on this one, the switch makes a difference in tone even if only one pickup is selected. Possibly, this is series/parallel for the two halves of each pickup, which I guess would be an option.

The other thing is that this one seems to have more of a Treble Boost, Bass Boost kind of preamp setup. The description tends to indicate a frequency select/boost or cut setup, which is not what I'm hearing, but I'll spend some more time with it, and compare it to Arthurs X640's when I get to Georgia next week (yes, the 'fest is just around the corner folks!). Who knows, it wouldn't be the first time the Catalogs had incorrect info in them! Mike.

te other switch is the series/parallel switch.... if it follows the same properties as loudspeakers, in series will be louder than parallel... as it halves the resistance???

it's doing the series/parallel on the coils on each set of pickups.

now you've got me thinking of things I can do with the other set of pups I have without the boost and circuit board.....
