Has some play wear and changed parts, but reasonable starting price too. No Case. Locking nut has been added behind the original brass nut, that and the Kahler Vibrato are the only two mods I can spot. I can't say I approve of the mod, but it looks like it was done cleanly. Not certain if it can be made original again because of the kahler route. The late sunburst Endorsers had spectacular maple veneers. If you like the vibrato Tailpiece, or maybe you've been jonesing for a cherry sunburst model, this could be for you... Cheers, Mike.

I think the Kahler is hideous on that guitar. I don't like the Bendmaster deluxe either though. I guess I'm just not a fan of BIG bridge add-ons. Still, I bet it plays and sounds great. These don't show up that often so it might be worth some thought.

Hard to say from the pics but this may be one of the after market bolt on trems. i have seen some before that bolt directly onto the stock tailpiece mounts and bridge mounts but i cannot say fro certain if this is the case with this one. Nice flame top but what a waste with that add on on there.

I agree...I think that this trem can be removed easily and stop tail and tune-o-matic replaced. The locking device is gonna be the problem area. Most likely made an outline impression in the headstock face in addition to the added screw holes.

It's a shame, but it happens often with older guitars. Look at this old Ibanez LP Professional I picked up a while back.....

Is that even a trem? I can't find a place in the pics for an arm. I agree that it is hideous looking but it also looks like it can be easily removed. Nice top on that guitar.

Yep...look closely at the last photo. You can see two tapped holes, one near the middle and one on the treble side.

Call me Debbie Downer but that looks to be a Kahler 2200 series and it is a trem. I think it requires a rout for installation. I've asked the seller to clarify the situation.

I believe that this is somewhat close to the add on we see here. I had seen one previously mounted on a 2264n that I was looking at. It easily removes and the stock stoptail can go right back on. It required no routing as it uses the stoptail mounts and bridge mounts. I say if if is stock and works then don't fix it and I would have left it stock. The installer did seem to have the good sense to at least no route it so it could be put back to stock config. Hope this helps.

It's an older style than that I think. The rollers like this one were an option on some Gibson LP's SG's and V's for a while. If it was never used as a trem it may not have been routed. I think the rout was just to fit the springs to the block. If it's not routed I'm going after it.

Since it has the locking nut I'm thinking trem. The only other issue I see would be a couple screw holes that would probably not be covered by a "correct" truss rod cover.

I concurr. The trem lock looks like it used the old trc holes for the most part but may have added 2 additional holes. Still if this is not routed and clean and the push pulls etc have not been changed it is otherwise a nice axe. The 2264n with the simular setup I was looking at some time back was sold before I could pull the trigger on it. Good luck.

The seller says it doesn't appear to be routed so that's a good thing and means I will bid judiciously.

Thanks - I hope it holds up. I can't afford too much more right now without joining with JD on the vienna sausage and beans diet. :)
