This sure looks familiar - The whole thing looks Matsumoku to me. The bigsby looks just like the one I jettisonned from my 2259 project. Can anyone throw some light on "Crestline"?

Crestline's were MIJ by unknown manufacturer(s) and distrubuted by Grossman Music, Cleveland, OH - I've seen a couple with very good build quality

So then does that mean you have seen others with bad build quality... or your experience with them is that the build quality is very good?

Just curious how to interpret your statement above. Thanks Dave!

The quality has ranged from so-so (small body acoustic) to very good (electric) - I've only run across 5 or 6, but I understand they had a full range from beginner to high-intermediate - the 2 electrics, one a strat-syle and one an LP were certainly decent guitars. Blue Book says they also offered mandolins, banjos, ukes, and amps - and were most likely built by "one of the larger" Japanese manufacturers (I've seen one banjo)

It sold for under $150 so somebody either got a very nice deal or didn't get burned badly. Too bad there weren't a few more pictures.
