So This is my little pal, I've pretty much had it since I started playing, which is about 12 years ago. I'm not too sure of it's history before me, It's definitely been played. It sounds fantastic! But I was hoping to learn a little more, in case one day she must leave my hands I'd like to know what to tell potential buyers. I wanna say it's a '76, which is just a mildly educated guess. I really don't know. Set net, all original from when I got it. The pickups were changed out a couple times, and the cover taken off the bridge, but they're apparently the ones that came with it. Only change I did was replace the nut because the old one broke. I really never play it, I just keep it in a case and pull it out to show off every now and again. It's beautiful, but I look preeeeeetty silly playing it. Anyway, here are pics...and I'm clearly too stupid to be able to post them in the thread...wow.

Good morning, and welcome to the forums. She certainly is a beauty, but them I'm pretty partial to these carved Electras. I can't speak to the year, but I'm sure someone else can give it a good shot.

Again, welcome...and glad you joined us here.

Oh, I'm glad to be here! I've been very impressed with the quality. I let my lead guitar player play it yesterday at band practice and he said he actually liked it the same if not a bit better than his Gibson. I'm sure a lot of that has to do with the visual aspect of course hehe. But c'mon, we'd all have boring studio models if we didn't want our instruments to look good! :hyper:

8) Very nice Axe. Not absoluty certain and it can be difficult to date the foil sticker models but with the wave headstock I would say earliest would be around 1977 or later. The set necks are very nice. Welcome to the forums

Yea, thought I'd see what people might offer... you never know. I don't really see me getting more than a MIM strat offered and that's just not going to do :P Every few years I kinda see what people think, and this time I've found you guys who understand how great these guitars are. I thought I might have been skewed by the looks on how quality it is, but everyone here is saying the same thing about their electras. Plus again, I do look pretty silly playing it in an alternative rock band lol. So "Ivy" lives in her case until the right person comes along...or I start playing in a different kind of band. Honestly, I do love it, I think it's every bit as good as any Gibson I've played. and in some cases better. After all, I have had her for over 12 years now. If I wanted to trade it for something plain and normal, I would have. :D

So what are you wanting to trade for? I work in Pontiac, so logistics should be easy to work out.

I also would like to know what you want in trade. I live in Oxford so logistics works for me also.
