I would love to have this, but I need another amp like a hole in the head. I hope one of you guys scoops this thing up, one of us needs to own this. This is in ridiculously good shape and it looks like it is NOS that just sat there collecting dust forever. Either that, or the Electra name has been brought back.

It has a three-prong power cable... My gut instincts are that it was made in the last ten years, possibly very recently. Which begs the question, who is re-using that Logo and the Electra name? Ask the seller to look at all the print on the box, my guess is 'Made in China' recently, if any date at all is given.

It might just be and IEC cable.......this would be plausible if it was made in japan but it all just looks so pristine.

They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder but I like the looks of the 20 a little better.

Hard to determine on this one as it is in such nice condition. I agree Mike if it was from the time period it would have the two prong plug in but there were some later ones that had gone to the grounded plugs. Ask the seller if there is a label inside the cabinet on the side or bottom of the head with the manufacture info. There have been several so called Electra products of recent that are made in china and as we know the chinese do not uphold any name or trademark laws. If the price is low and you like it then go for it.

Did Electra amps "back in the day" come in nice, flash, red cardboard boxes?! Penny to a pound that's no more than 5 years old....

Seller just told me made in China, so it looks like the chinese are moving beyond fake Gibsons, Rics, and Fenders !! Fake Omega next ??!!

So I did will this amp and it arrived today. Not a bad little unit at all, at least for what it is. I am checking into the address on the box to glean more info on it, but I do not doubt it is an importer/exporter type middleman.

Made in China for certain but it does have a kitchy kewlness to it...
