This looks like a nice one. Any thoughts on if it is all original? http://desmoines.craigslist.org/msg/2725862995.html

With all of these rarer ones coming on the market, what models are you looking for (besides the x910)?

Thats a beaut. $650 seems pretty reasonable if it is as squeaky clean as described. Keep in mind that they probably (no production figures are known) made less than 500 of these Leslie West MPC guitars!

I'm still looking for a X160, which is an Active Phoenix in metalic Brown. Not a real head turner, but rare, or seldom offered. X510 are pretty, although would probably get limited use at my household. 2270 semi hollow Tele in Brown, I saw one for $500 once, thought it was too pricey... haven't seen another one since. Would love a X410 Jazz Strad, but they've doubled in price it seems. Enough torture, Mike.

Guilty.

It's funny, because I was just PMing with Mike about how much (and how long) I have wanted to find a Leslie West. The seller is a very cool woman (she plays keyboard) who is selling the axe for her father-in-law. I really enjoyed a great conversation with her. The guitar has a few minor issues, but seems to be in fairly good condition.

Somebody please make sure to kick me in the ass to get me to post photos when it arrives.

The X120 Leslie's have the distinction of being the only original design Electra made that there is only one Model of. No color options or different pickup configuration or anything like that. It also sports the biggest neck of any Electra I can recall playing. The heal is unique and pretty cool looking:

Mine is pretty beat up, but still plays like a boss. I know that many people consider the X910 Explorer the holy grail, but this original design really does it for me. It is cool when you can talk a CraigsLister into shipping, because most sellers don't want to deal with the hassle. Congrats, Mike.

Congratulations on the snag! Glad it went to a forum member.

As for myself, since my Electra collection is small at 4 models, I look forward to seeing all the guitars basses and mandolins that are up for sale. My first wish is for a good deal on a peace sign logo Electra. I have 2 wacky logos, 1 Electra script logo and 1 Phoenix logo.

Good score!

I'm with Mike... X910 is cool, but as an original design, the X120 is the top of the MPC heap. Be sure to post photos as soon as possible.

These are indeed rare models and are unique. They do however play very nice. they have a rather thick neck that takes some gettin used to but you will love it.Congrats on the score

That neck is very interesting indeed, well the heel I guess is what I am getting at. Looks to me to be a very early attempt at the bayonet join that the later high end Westones have. The x120 is a Mats product I am assuming?

Like Mike the x160 is the model I kinda crave too, but I would settle for an x150 in a pinch. An x110 to compliment my wifes x410, an Elvin Bishop and, what the hey, I suppose an x910 too then.

Is that too much to ask?
