Good deal if the price stays low. There are at least 2 bridge saddles that have been replaced with what appear to be larger screws. That usually destroys the existing bridge for "correct" saddles but still - it's an endorser.

Lol

I actually ended up with this one....

The next dayI tried to join the forum to tell everyone about a black x410 that looked near mint that sold for $625 on ebay (with duncans and original mmks included). If I had the money that day I would've bought it in a second but couldn't so I was hoping to let everyone here know.....sorry I was too late though.

Back to the Post (sorry):

So I'm not sure which endorser Dave_G acquired but I'm sure I now have this particular one. It plays great except for a few dead frets by the bridge end (should be an easy fix for a luthier) and the pickup switch won't stay in the neck position for long (easy fix for me).

The sound is absolutely beautiful. Through a Mesa Single Recto with some overdrive it absolutely destroys! Reminds me quite a bit of the tone Adam Jones in Tool gets from his silver Les Paul. The MMK pickups shocked me with their quality! This thing sounds much better than I anticipated despite having read that it is a darn fine instrument already.

The guitar is built like a tank and plays as easily as I could possibly want it to. Matsumoku is my new obsession. I'll post some clips one of these days too.

I want to thank everyone here for the awesome insight I was able to research before buying this guitar! I almost bought a beat up 72 gold top for $475 until I researched it on this forum and found out it wasn't Matsumoku made. In retrospect, the one I found looked like it probably wasn't even one of the better ones from that year.....youch.

So for $170 less I got the ideal guitar for me personally and a much finer instrument.

Thanks everyone and these guitars are sick!

Sorry, I'll post some pics once I put this thing down long enough to take some decent shots.

The neck pickup on this endorser is pretty sweet...it appears to have ceramic posts on it and regular on the bridge. I'm wondering if anyone knows if that's stock for 1982?

Geeze, the excesses of the 70's are kicking in again....I did win auction for this guitar, but the reserve was not met..the seller then offered a second chance at my bid, but for some dumb reason I declined, probably because I already had a x935 in the mail. anyway sorry for the mixup ........all the more reason to "just say no" !.......

BTW the Pro Endorser is just an awesome example of what Electra and the other Japanese makers were making in the late 70's/earl;y 80's...this guitar exceeds Gibson specs all across the board and just sound fantastic.

So has anyone had an opportunity to do a direct comparison between one of these and a LP?
I'm talkin' a full blown rundown with each axe as close as possible in. re. year, model options, set neck, nut material, etc?

It has been a curiosity to me for a while now. We have both a '69 and '70 LPC Black Beauty hanging around here and I would like to hear an unbiased and objective as is possible comparison.

Impressive and awesome shot indeed. Beauty abounds in the Electra world no doubt.

so many endorsers..wow

I'm really able to appreciate the quality of these guitars after spending a few intimate days with my endorser. I wonder what the origins of the wood used in it are? Brazilian rosewood and Honduran Mahogany like some of the Aria Pro II's? Sure looks and feels like quality wood types and such. Especially with the weight of it, feels very solid all around.

Certainly not the asian substitutes of late.....geez some of these Korean mahogany guitars weigh nothing at all.

So that's where all the Endorser's have been....I'm kind of speechless.
