Dave -

I guess I'm going to have to schedule a trip to Lubbock to see your Proendorsers!

I'll bring my Electras along too -

Or the next time you're in Amarillo?

Hint - hint ..............

I think Dave_G is on the East Coast, and DrDave is in Lubbock.

I like the thin flame on the far right with the smaller patch of 'Sun', any way we could talk you into doing some closeups on that one Dave?

this guitar exceeds Gibson specs all across the board and just sound fantastic.

With eight on-board tones, they are hands down more versatile than anything but the Jimmy Page LP's. You can pull just about any tone you want out of one, and they don't look too shabby either! It's understandable why people have been known to collect multiple examples. Here's one of mine in action if you want to hear some of the tonal possibilities:

That youtube vid is the thing that pushed me over the edge when I pulled the trigger on mine at the moment of truth.
-So thanks for that!

What is it about these guitars that makes us all want literally all of them?

Also why do comparable Greco guitars cost 2-3x more it seems? They don't seem to have any leg up on these babies! At least some of the Aria Pro ii's have ebony options and what not....

Mike -

You are so correct!

Too many Dave's to remember ..............

My apologies to both of them.

I think Greco got recognized quite some time ago for being decent Japanese Guitars, and Electra with its multiple incarnations and quirky early stuff had this lingering Pawn Shop reputation. People are coming around though, and it's conceivable that Electra's may one day catch up. But that's a double edged sword for us still in acquisition mode.

...so which side of that double-edged sword is the one requiring you to beat Arthur to the punch??

Well I hope everyone here gets a Leslie West and a Jacaranda (may as well throw in a few semi-hollows too) added to their personal collections before the day when Electras become fully recognized in monetary value.
