These show up every once in a while but I have not seen one for sale in the last 9-10 months. This one looks like it has been through the ringer. I would wait for a better one unless you are looking for a project.

Yes it has been some time since this LP model Bass has shown up. This one would be a good but extensive project. Hope to see it restored as we do have some Electra miracle workers around this forum but I am not one of them unfortunatly I am not even close in the restoration dept.

Yikes! That would be quite a difficult project mainly from a parts aspect. The pickups - well, maybe you could find similar ones. I think they're single coils under the HB cover. The bridge, I think, would be almost impossible to find - I wouldn't know where to start on that. Too bad because that's a model we hardly ever see. This one has seen some action for sure.

yes, the stock pups are single coils under the covers. I don't recall the dimensions thought, but if they are the same as the EB2D copy I have, they are impossible to find.... it's pups are slightly narrower than a regular HB, but longer, so regualr HB rings don't quite cover the hole. nice.

the LP Bass I fixed up had a broken wire in the pup thankfully close to the leads, so I unwrapped a few coils and resoldered to the connector...

I've had a few of the early 70's basses come through with that problem...

this one though with all it's go going for it, would be better off kept as a player bass probably... that bridge, while kinda ugly on there, is a lot better than original. but I would fix the wiring up and not have the 2 gaping holes there... and looks like one of it's past players preferred a non painted neck :)
