And....... This listing was ended by the seller because the item is no longer available.
Huh. Dodged a bullet there I guess. I wouldn't have minded taking that shot though.

Evening Gents.....Im new to the forum. My names Bill, I moderate or co moderate a few other forums....this old girl is mine. Auction ended because I decided to keep it. Sorry about the pictures, photography is not my forte',but, this guitar is as close to immaculate as any guitar of its age as Ive seen. Just has the one little ding on the back. Clean as a whistle other than that. Guitar came to me without a case...I remedied that this evenng with a hardshell case. I have a westbury track II bass, two older Apollo guitars, and a 2275, so this will be the start of my collection of Electra and Electra related brands. Looking forward to chatting. Bill

You're off to a nice start with the Avenger and BP. If you feel the urge to add to your collection right away - I know where you could get a nice X140R and X290.

Welcome to the best Electra forum in the world!

Thanks for the welcome....and dont worry about me taking offense about the photography. My photos go from amazing{accident} to horrendous{I try not to post those}, with most falling in the middle. Not my strong point to be sure. My next aquisition will be that carved LP model with the vined neck. Ive seen a few of those around the last month or so, so once I have some spare coin, that will be the one. I had a Univox Carved eagle, a three pickup S-S-S model that I had and sold to Arlen Roth, and Ive been jonesing for another carved body of some kind since. Most of my collection is fifties/sixties/early seventies japan, with Ibanez, sub brand ibanez, Teiscos, Electras,Grecos,Univox, Guyatones, Apollos, and Univox. I also collect Kapas, and co moderate those forums. Will definitely be posting often.

Welcome aboard! Is there any backstory to how you got the BP or how long you have had it? We love stories.

Why yes, several stories and some advice from a couple friends....I was scheduled about a month ago for some follow up rutuxin therapy{Im a cancer survivor~in full remission,alive, and living it up!}, i was seated in the chemo chair when the nurse yells, "Stop! Your insurance company hasnt authorized treatment." Sooo, ok sez I, and I got up, made a new appointment and headed to the car. Now, I had taken the day off, and driven 45 miles or so. I called my help at work and announced I was "heading to the hood for a pawn crawl...." and did just that. First store I strolled into had the obligatory 80's epi's and other assorted junk....then I used a line that another new member on this board, Chuck99, taught me. "Got anything ugly you cant sell??" This was the guitar he brought me to.....I about flipped. I knew, even though I didnt know what model it was or the rarity of the headstock, that this was a hell of a nice guitar....I scored it and a Squire strat from the late eighties for a rediculous low price. No hardshell case, but the guy gave me a pair of gig bags to get it home to the house. I talked to Dave-g about what it was, and he told me Id scored nicely. Skulking around the forum here taught me the rest....; }

You're a two-time winner then. Congrats on remission! The guitar is just gravy.

Bill im sure that your input here will be as interesting as it is over there as you get more into this brand..its facinating........congrats on joining !

Thank you David....I dont know about how expert I am...Ive learned what I know by standing on the shoulders of other guys that researched MIJ guitars before me, but Im always looking for new knowledge and information....speaking of which, since I havent been under this old girls "hood", what kind of pickups do we have under there? They are certainly lively and full toned......
