As y'all may know I picked up an x810 from a newer member here, Mitch, back about 6 weeks (?) or so ago. Well try as I might the bill for my Paypal card arrived and she opened it... oops!

It has been over 2 weeks of prodding, needling, pestering... you get the idea. So last night I finally had had enough and set up a treasure hunt for her. The x410 sits in our family room over by the bookcase and I replaced it with the new x810, putting the JazzStrad back in it's case downstairs. The idea was to have her go down and search thru the cases looking for a new guitar, find the x410 and then realize something else was in it's place upstairs.

...should have blocked her view better walking thru the kitchen on the way downstairs ...

It was the headstock that tipped her off, and I swear she barely glanced over there as she passed through the kitchen. Anyway, the 23rd of December is now a day to be remembered in our memories with special fondness.

Thanks again Mitch. You even got the pick thickness right!

Ice- You did the inverse of most and got your wife a wicked x810....one of the prettiest semis I've ever laid eyes on. Perfect blend of classic body, soaring quality, and modern look. Love the bindings on those too, wow. I'll bet she she likes it....

I don't want to rain on anyone's parade here, but the best looking 335 or 335 clone just has to be this one that now resides in Australia....

... Simply gorgeous and although I loathe 335s, I'd have that in a heartbeat!! Oh, that and Gary Kemps white Westone Rainbow.....

You will get zero argument from me on that John, as I well know what a knockout that Vantage is. One very lucky young man there! No rain in the forecast 'round here for the foreseeable future.

Beautiful guitar Ice and a cool presentation idea. They are among the most beautiful 335's ever made - one lucky lady!

Sorry I haven't been around much guys and gals. Ice I am glad she liked it and everything worked out. I was so hoping she was going to get and awesome surprise Christmas morning.

Like I said before I am sticking around cause this is a cool place to hang.

Right after I sent that guitar, the guy I work with had the bright idea to teach twelve licks for the twelve days of Christmas and put this little video/marketer/editor in overdrive and was working day in and day out to make this happen. Had to post a lick a day with tabs.. OH YEAH!! lol but it turned out ok. We even put it on DVD and sold it and donated half the profits to a great cause.

So I've been a busy bee since before Christmas, but everything is calming down now and we all good.

I'll check back here later and catch up on things.

If you guys want to know what I'm talking about check here.

A couple of the video's

I did all the editing for these video's. That's what I do if anyone was wondering :)
I'm also a marketer. Thus is why I'm not posting the website here. I don't want you guys to
think I'm trying to sell for this guy ;)

Hope everyone had a GREAT Christmas and a fun and safe new year!

Mitch
