I have a pheonix neck that I thought would fit my pheonix with problems. It didn't. it may be a direct fit for you. PM me if you are interested. Maybe we could work out a trade.

the neck pocket on the corsair body is 62mm at the base, and the neck pocket is stamped 62-2-7... interesting...

the corsair bass was a medium scale bass, so I'm guessing the original neck was a bit narrower...

booo. I just can't make the neck I picked up work, without some mods to the body, or having a few inches empty at the bottom of the body to move the bridge up for proper intonation...

okay... did some more figuring, and I'm gonna do it (body mods)
you can see the planned route for the bridge pups and the neck pocket area... the upper horn will be modified as shown too, which oddly enough gives it more of a Phoenix type look to it...
I might modify the lower horn as well to provide access to frets 20-22. I'll get the other parts done first and see how it looks/feels...

The bridge pup will be right up next to the bridge? What scale length is this thing going to be? Why is the neck rout being made so huge? :-?

yeah, should give it a rick-like jangle...

the neck is a Washburn 22 fret, 34" scale neck, and has an extended "plate" that goes under the pickguard, that's why the route is so long. it's gonna be 7/8" longer than stock, because I'll be removing about 1-7/8" of the original neck pocket, and the lower neck pocket holes will become the new upper holes.

if I trim the plate, and mount in the current neck pocket (a little widening needed) the saddles would be 5" from the bottom of the body, so hanging on a strap in normal position, it would need a player to have a longer left arm :)

I did some comparisons with a x640n neck as well... and it's still "long" since the Concord body was made for a 32" scale neck I believe...

the way it's laid out now, the bridge I'm using will completed cover the woodpecker holes too...

upper horn was cut, edges routed, and a little more shaping with a drum sanding barrel on a dremel. it looks pretty good.

ran out of time before starting the neck and pup routing. I need to make the templates yet for them...

nothin else done, except decision to just use one set of P pups... makes my routing needs easier :) and will let me show more grain when it's done... well, as much as can be seen in trans black.... or trans black/red burst...

okay, more progress pics...
and yes, it the Washburn Force 8 BBR neck with Red binding...
it's gonna be all Red and black. has a black neck plate, will have black tuners, and a black pickguard. and trans red speed knobs...
the bridge almost covers all the "woodpecker holes". you can still see where I filled the holes with stainable filler. I call it character :)
There will probably be a few more showing as I'm going to try and keep the pickguard as small as possible.
