Too lazy to check the archives but is that brass barreled affair correct to this Phoenix?

Chuck is dreaming... you couldn't sell a X150 Active/Laminated Phoenix for 5 Bills, more less a beat up X140 like that one.

Yeah, that is a correct bridge. Early Phoenix hard tails were lighter duty, strings hooked underneath the bridge. Later bridges would be heavier Brass and the strings fed through grommets in the back of the guitar. My X150 and X130 both have this style bridge, as does the X150 listed on eBay currently for $700 (bwaaaahahaha).

Agreed on the x150, Mike. Coca-cola spewed out the nose in several directions when I say that auction listing. So sad that so few even surface for sale. What other models (x910 given) are rarely seen for sale in you guy's experience?

I have yet to see a RockStrad or a Wedge available, and believe me... I'm looking in earnest.

You are referring to this one? I bet everyone here sent him a message offering $300-400 on that one. If not I will!

The X110 Rock strads show up now and again but are a bit harder to find. The Flying wedge is almost as hard to find as the X910. I have seen 2 in the past 3 years or so. One was original and one had been modded to look like the original one used by a favorite metal man (used a white flying wedge back in the day). I was fortunate enough to to talk Mike out of the original flying wedge he had and I love it. Great player and almost everyone that sees or hears it thinks it is a gibson until they see the bolt on neck and then they are amazed. The X910 is the rare one and a few have surfaced in the last year or so but at extreme prices to be certain. Another rare one is the Howard Roberts X510 model. I will keep an eye out for a wedge also. JD has a ver nice rock strad indeed. Good Hunting

Glad to see a fellow forum member scored jd's extra 110. It is a beauty as are all of his collection. You will love the way it plays. Plenty of raw power to spare but also has warm tone for days when clean.

Iceman is like one of those toys you wind up, then point it in a random direction and it just goes where directed. He seems to be very focussed that way. What can we help with next Ice? Do you need the address for an E-tox or an E-hab center?

Ooooo, you guys... I think I am doing quite alright, thank you very much.

To be receiving unsolicited offers on my wife, sight-unseen, seems to indicate to me that my direction might be worth following...

...if ya' follow me

Of course - I'm just jealous I guess. I do hope however, to be seeing some X110 glam pictures. All kidding aside - I am happy for you. Also, kidding aside, what else is on your E-list? You must be getting it narrowed down I think.

I really am not working off much of a list per se, but take each opportunity as it appears on it's own merits.

That being said I am very content to help JD with any of his "castoffs"... as well I should be.

...and as any of the rest of youse should be, too.
