True, I tend to forget that the mikes on computers are pretty limited when it comes to delivering hi fidelity sound, eh!

I've run mine into the machine via a mixer once or twice, and that's been OK....

Another really good video Mike.

LOL - I would say that your practicing is paying off - but I think we all knew that already.

Great licks!

Thanks,

Perhaps this has been posted elsewhere but it really does belong in this thread as well.

While traveling the etherworld tonight I came upon a page called the Unique Guitar Blog ...

And there was an entry for Electra guitars generally and MPC models specifically ...

And disappointingly but not surprisingly it was mostly unorigonal cut and paste commentary ...

But at the bottom of the page there was a YouTube demo video of a Leslie West model ...

Thank the Good Lord you were able to redeem that page entry, Mike. Cool to see you pop up.

Yeah, I've seen that page before, and while I'm flattered my clip was used, it's not like anyone asked permission! There is some misinformation in the text, and two of the guitars pictured are not stock... so it's one of those 'just scratch the surface' articles if you ask me.

But I can use this occasion to post my latest Electra video, the venerable 2248 Telecaster (still can't bring myself to use the Rock'n'soul model name!):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=049ILvP_Zq4

That makes twelve Electra Vids so far, and I'll work up a Burgundy Pro vid soon, Enjoy, Mike.

Thanks for the videos Mike - Beautiful 2248 and nice video. Nice middle position sound. Is the neck pup a sincle coil in the HB cover?

I've seen the back of the pickup, but never had the cover off... I'm 78% sure its a true humbucker in the Neck Position (how's that for commitment?). The Bridge pickup is really thin, and can't really compete with the Neck pickup volume wise, but it has a cutting tone that can be used to its advantage.

If it's stock, they are true humbuckers by Maxon-meter usually between 7-9k.
As always,another great video Mike!

It looks and sounds pretty similar to the pickups in my refinished 2259. Nice pickups whatever they are.

Just posted a new video which shows all five Active EQ Electra's. Watch and listen as they go from clean to distortion,
and everywhere in between!

Nice! I was surprised at how much I liked - and found uses for - the active eq. I remember thinking it was sort of a gimmick but I learned in less than 5 minutes that it's a really usable feature. Thanks for the video!
