Hello all. My apologies for the update delay. It has been almost a month since my last post on the shirts and progress. These shirts WILL GO TO PRESS this month (February 2012).

Attached is the second shirt design: "Style-B", which features the Electra logo taken from the original hardshell case of my Workingman x280 guitar. I photographed the case, traced the logo as close as possible using Adobe Illustrator. The shirts will match the case color as close as my vendor can provide. These shirts will be 100% preshrunk Cotton, and all printing (as stated before) will be professionally silkscreened.

It was interesting tracing the case logo on this... it really showed how "by-hand" this logo was when originally created in the 1970s. The spacing and thickness of the surrounding black is different in different areas... it was not created perfect, and I have attempted to match these imperfections so I can provide an accurate creation.

I wrote & added a phrase beneath the logo: "matsumoku made • worldwide played". My decades in advertising influences me here... I cannot help but create a slogan. Hope you don't hate it...

So... all that chatter to share this new design. I may go to print with this design and the previous one before I create any others (I haven't decided). In the meantime, I will provide another update when available for purchase.

The Orange may be an acquired taste there, although White would be boring, and Black is over used, so I can dig it. Very catchy slogan, although in all honesty, not all Electra's were made by Matsumoku, just sayin'. Pretty cool, thanks for your efforts.

I like the color as it will bedifferent than most all othr shirts as well as having a great Electra logo as well. Catchy slogan also. I like it any printing on the back such as the different models etc?

I like the design as well and as I have a 280 it would be most appropriate. The price does not seem unreasonable and I like your choice of a 50/50 cotton shirt. These days there are so many shirts that have a cool design but the material is very thin and flimsy. I design shirts as well but I don't use a computer....sorry, old school I guess . To me the shirt looks off brown and not orange..I like it, or in my opinion it would look good on a OD Green shirt. I kinda like the idea of a large logo only on back as well as the design on front but realize that will add to the cost.
May I have your permission to copy (paint) the design you did onto my new HS case? The original cardboard/vynil case I got with the guitar is starting to come apart so I bought a new and better case.

~ The shirt color is definitely brown - not orange. Think Reese's butter cup chocolate-brown (NOT the orange wrapper - the delicious contents!). The background on the art that I uploaded was a bit off. I was trying to simulate the brown Electra hardshell cases, but brown on computer screens is never perfect.

These are IN PRODUCTION and should be ready in a few weeks, pending other jobs. I will accept orders once I have the product ready, and will fulfill the orders first-come, first serve. Paypal works fine, or money orders by mail. I don't have a clue how well response will be to these, so I may be glad that I'm in Florida if they become my wardrobe.

The shirts will be on a 100% Cotton Hanes (tagless) shirt. This will not be some shoddy hold-it-up to the light and see-thru material. I went with the 100% Cotton because every shirt that I could find at retailers like Guitar Center used 100% Cotton (including the Tshirts for Marshall, Fender, etc). Personally, I know the 50/50 shirts hold up a bit better, but they make me sweat like James Brown, circa '76.
