Everything is relative. I remember reading a Vintage Guitar Magazine interview with a guitarist (maybe J. Geils?) and he was lamenting that every time he went to buy a LP Burst they were just out of reach... and he watched them go from 5k to 10k to 25k... well we all know where they've ended up. At prices only CEO's can handle (translation: never to be played again, what a shame).

I'm no fortune teller, but if any Electra is gonna break the 2K barrier in the future, it will probably be the semi hollows.

Patience will be rewarded. I hear Jead has a Elvin he may part with...

I will keep my eyes open for you also and maybe we can find you a good one. I am blessed to have the ones that I currently have but I am not fortunate enough to have any doubles to offer up for sale.

Thanks for the suggestions, I've pm'd Jead a few minutes ago! And in regards to that; wow that's a pretty EB! I didn't realize they came with flamed burst top....how did I miss that!!!??? Tree of life inlays are gorgeous too.

Oh and sweet ampeg too!!

The Music Man 210hd-130 has some old Pyle drivers in it - same as the ones favored by Derek Trucks. That's a pretty sweet amp with very minor issues. I can actually lift that one. The Ampeg is a monster - probably 80 lbs. It's the only complete and working B12 xy I've ever seen. The voice coil on the original Jensen was frozen so I stuck a Celestion G12H 70th in and it sounds really good. I'm lucky to have found both those amps.

I'll say! I didn't realize it wasn't the standard B12, even nicer! I've only played around with the fake stuff myself... Hard not to like anything resembling old Ampeg tone though IMHO. If I started dabbling in vintage amps, I'd probably lose my house. Bad enough I bought an Electra.

So did you two come to an agreement?

Working on it currently. Sure like this better than the es-700's I'm seeing today on ebay. I guess Jead has a life , unlike myself, so I should know more within a few days or so.
