Bought this from a 2 day member, hasn't been back since  '80 X270 Powered EQ Invicta, set neck, great player with tons of little dings and fleabites. My only complaint is the weight-I've got some issues with heavy guitars these days(gettin' old sucks :toopid: ) $260 shipped in CONUS

Man, I wish I could - this model is way high on my personal favorite list - and at a very reasonable price. Well worth it IMHO.

Sweet guitar, I'd grab it but I just grabbed one VG+ condition for $330 with original square case. Thought I saw one on sleazebay with some severe rash go for $550 a few months ago...might've been a x250w though which are probably a bit more rare.

I think the guitar sounds great though and the weight is fairly heavy but thankfully much, much lighter than my endorser. I like the ash/maple sandwich a lot. It has a much different midrange quality compared to my mahogany/maple Matz's. I'm a little disappointed mine doesn't have the tight grain on the fretboard like my endorser (not sure if the grain has shrunk/swollen over the years either) ....but it still plays like a dream nonetheless so it's really immaterial. With the glorious MMK 53's it really has it's own tone altogether.

I think that you're offering it at a great price, hope someone snatches it up quickly from you!

$260 shipped for a set neck active... that's a steal! Good luck Ozark.

Haha Iceman, nice.

I don't have the money to buy it, so this is just out of curiosity, but were the pickups that came in this model originally active, or was that done outside of the factory?

Thanks, and the best of luck with the sale and haggling with Iceman!

It's an active EQ/Preamp (rather than active pups) which should have been done right at Uncle Mats house. (factory) Not sure if there would be any wiring difference on the pickups themselves, I haven't really compared them.

Right - I think the pups are wired standard for phase and coil split and the 3rd mini switch kicks in an adjustable boost. I'd guess around a 15db boost. I used the preamp much like you'd use a volume pedal - just flip it on for extra punch. It can be used full time to good effect too.

Glad it went to someone on the board. I was oh so tempted but after the move I am having trouble having space for guitars. The only space left would take a 6' ladder to get to it every time I wanted to play. Now if I sold my Schecter 5 string bass I would have room Hmmm.
