Prices are crazy. I'm thinking the Grover's are added. The switch tip may be original - the one pictured in the model links is white/creme. I don't really care about the modules but I do agree the D-Fuzz is really what the POD should have been. Up until recently this guitar would probably be about $500. Who knows now but $700 would be pushing it considering the finish damage. This is one of the X120's without the LED MPC indicator too.

I've been wondering about the LED indicator on the Leslie West. Mine does not have one, either. Can one of our more informed senior members offer any insight into the history of the LED indicator?

Senior Members... hehehe... are you going by age, number of posts or length of membership? I'm not sure I qualify on any of those criteria, however I own a X120 and have studied these ever since I got bit by the Electra Bug five years ago.

I have NEVER seen a Leslie West with any sort of LED indicator on it. I think this was a error printed in the guitar index pages, and it has become a urban legend ever since. EVEN if you could find one with an LED, I would still argue that it was installed after the fact.

Chips or not, I think this one will be north of 7 Bills, we could make a friendly wager... or being more civil, take a poll? Heck I don't know, but I think these are swell guitars, even Eddie Haskel would want one.

I doubt the LED thing.
I'd be willing to wager my dignity - it's all I have left. :D I have no idea where this price will settle - everything seems way too volatile to even guess at. If pressed, I'd figure north of 700 but south of 1000. Intrinsically it's probably worth around 500 - maybe. There's really not a lot to them - really barebones actually, but with the case and 2 modules it gets a bump. The relative scarcity is what will power the price.

My current X120 doesn't have the led,the first one didn't have it either...never seen one with it. If this does go north of 7 bills,I will suddenly have one for sale!

My thoughts on current value of this particular Leslie are leaning toward the 750 mark. I don't think it will exceed that amount + shipping. Wanna start a apool (sorry...lips stuck again) on this one?

Altogether though....it's a very good week for very nice Electra models being offered for sale:

a few MPCs, Outlaw for 400 bucks on CL, Leslie, Bishop, Super Magnum, and a 910 coming up

I agree no Led as mine does not have one either. As for price guess on this one I am guessing $725-$785 + shipping as I see that as a high price for a non mint one but one with goodies.

I guess Tom Presley would be the best source for clearing up any past rumors regarding any LED's on any Electra MPC -

I researched this a while back and found nothing.

I really will eat worms and pine needles for a while to snatch this and unfortunately I'll probably overpay considerably for it. This model, the X810, and X110 are about the only models I'd stretch for these days. Of course a nice Burgundy or Maple Pro would also get my attention.

I'm pretty fixated and focused on this so wish me luck (and bid on something else  ).

Very good Jead, I watched this auction like it was a soap opera, NOT! But I had it in my watch list just to see how high it would go. Glad it went to you, so have fun with it as your wish list dwindles. Tim Sr. PS, We would all like a pic of the worms and pine needles!

I may be able to dine on Cup 'o' Noodles instead of worms and pine needles as I sold a Music Man Bass an hour or so before the Leslie auction ended.
I'm still waiting to see that Payment is completed on ebay - maybe it has something to do with ebay bucks.
I am somewhat surprised this didn't go higher - not complaining - but surprised. Once I get the guitar in my eager hands I'll see if I can determone anything about the Grovers - The chunk of wood missing might get a mahogany veneer if it's annoying.
Anybody interested in a Dynamic Fuzz or Phase Shifter module?

You lucky rascal.....if I hadn't been busy and missed the end, I'd have bumped that a couple hundred. :D

Auctions should always end 830-930 P for the most folks on and the better sales dollars. And usually Sunday to Sunday has worked out best for me as a seller.

CONGRATULATIONS......jd
