A setneck Super Rock? Where to start? I do not think this is a modded Omega, wrong logo, wrong inlay on headstock, I thought that the Omega's had Trapezoid markers on the fretboard, but I may be wrong, this one has big block markers. The X210 Black Omega may have had block markers. I also thought that all Omegas had a belly cut, this one has no belly cut and has binding on both the top and back of the body.

PCM? This guitar has a really nice pearl logo (old goofy logo) and diamond inlay on the headstock. I'm not a PCM historian, but this looks too nice to be one if you ask me.

Setneck modification? To try to make a setneck out of a bolt neck would take a ton of effort, and I'm not sure the heals would look the same. The paint looks too nice for that. All the Hardware and inlay work scream early 70's, but SLM wouldn't release a setneck LP until 1975 with the Omega.

My initial take on this is a possible Prototype or production example for distributors to look at and either order as-is or make changes. I know, I know... impossible to confirm.

Seller say it is lightweight, which is cool, and one of the reasons I typically shy away from LP's is their excessive weight. Who knows what the reserve is on this one, but this may be a real rare piece. My two cents, Mike.

Looks real to me and I'd agree it's a dealer proto. The only thing that looks "off" to me is the trc. The bell shape seems like it doesn't belong.

This one is to clean to be any type of modded model I think. Must have been a production proto just before they changed the headstocks and logos. very nice and unusual.

Not me - It's a nice one though but I maxed out @ $150. Yer competition is someone with 0 feedback. I'm not liking that at all. Zero feedback bidders make me nervous.

Yeah,I think the seller's reserve is way out of line for this.....don't think it would be plywood with the set neck, but I wonder about shill bidding with 0 feedback buyers that have been members for years and are allowed to bid with no restrictions :mad2:
Have I said how much I despise the whole Ebay/Paypal experience? :mad2: :mad2: :mad2:
We all need better alternatives to buy/sell fairly.....I know, kickin' a dead horse

Unfortunately I'm computer challenged, more of a nuts n bolts kinda guy-not to mention closing in on 50 :o in the next couple of fishin' seasons...my generation was amazed with "Pong" :D
But,excellent idea for someone of that talent set-could make a ton of cash if thats your bag,way too much stress for me :-?

Well I am giving Bonanza a try. Simple fees and no listing fees, photo fee etc and no fee unless it sells but not near the audience that ebay gets. http://www.bonanza.com/booths/mortarman120gang11c

I am also gettin tired of ebay as their greed just gets worse as they add more and more fees. It is almost like they don't care for the little guy. Amazon is also there but have not tried them yet.
I agree that this auction most likely has a shill bidder running up the price to see if it meets his reserve.

Over 50 here but OK with computers. The trouble would be reaching a critical mass to make it profitable.

Well my thoughts are that we will see this one up again before to long as a 0 feedback bidder remains high bid on this one. I think Mr Shill bidder will walk away with this one now at this price range. Just my opinion
