Well as we all know from lurking around there are some very hopefull sellers out there now with Electra models for sale. They must all work for NASA as they have orbital price ranges and high hopes for certain but good for a laugh I think.

I am certainly glad I am not paying the ebay listing fees on these. Maybe they will come to their senses one of these days as most of these have been listed for long periods of time with no interest.

At least 5 of those guitars are from members of this forum or the ICW forum....hopeful flippers in all cases. These prices are laughable, but every once in a while someone takes the bait. Remember, if you have an EBay store, the listing is only 20 cents and renews every 30 days, so the only downside to this type of listing is that we have to look at it until the item sells or the seller gets smart-its usually a very, very long wait-one seller in particular has had the same listings on EBay for well over 2 years.......same price, same pictures, same auction....but it only cost $4.80 for the exposure. A lot of these guys will put a "holy grail" guitar up at some stupid price to get buyers to look at their other guitars...its an inexpensive way of generating interest in your goods....

I suppose it is fair for folks to make a buck where they can, but the seller of the 420VS and Burgundy Pro bought both guitars at half the price he's listing them now.

Thanks for the explanation as I am no businessman but just an old retired military guy. Was unaware of how the ebay store rules worked but are there not additional fees for just having an ebay store also? I have only used ebay a few times to sell and incurred fees each time sold or not. Maybe they will get lucky and I can understand now the marketing angle. Glad I am not a business guy or I would never make any money. I will take my integtiry, honor, service, and skills anyday but thats just me. Good luck to all the business guys out there I guess. :-?

WOW !! And I'm happy just clearing 10 or 15% - guess I need to kick my BIN's up to 1000% markup !!! No wonder used Electra's are getting harder to find at a reasonable price..........

Wow it seems like there's been huge increase in people listing the LP types for $700-800 lately! Seems like many of the similar type brands (vantage,univox,westbury....) are getting out of hand at an increasing rate this last 3-4 weeks too. Maybe not quite as much though.
Endorsers for $1100.... I've expected to see that one day, but not quite yet methinks. :o

Seems like a good time to get in on all the sleepers while they're still out there.
Perhaps the end of the killer values on Japanese beauties is really just about here...I wish I'd started grabbing these up years ago though. :bawl:

Yea, but you can set up a "store" for as little as $14.95 a month-unlimited listings at .20 cents each....
