Nice, was just going to post this up and then saw "MINE MINE MINE..." and had to click :D

Best of luck! I know I'm staying out of this one.

My tongue was firmly planted in my cheek when I posted this. :P

Anyone who is interested as well should not hesitate to bid. If you are seriously interested please pm me and we can figure out who is really determined to get it. No point to inflating the final price... :)

Naturally I placed a bid last night. 8) I'm not really determined though.

One fine guitar - this is one of the finest models from SLM - what the MPC line eventually evolved in to; wow!

What a great design - IMO.

I hope someone here gets it.

First month of production, front to back lamination. Expect it to weigh about 9.5lbs as a guess. Just a warning to those with sore backs (like me).

Iceman... I'm currently the high bidder, sounds like you want it a LOT more than I do.
I'm backing off. Also seeing as how I just bought an X340 and X320 and an Anniversary X935 within the last couple of months the wife might kill me if another UPS guy shows up at the door with a guitar.

I keep telling them "leave the boxes around the BACK of the house", but they just don't listen.

Hmmmmm, maybe I could have it shipped to work!
Nope, it's yours, I'm ouy

Good luck with your biding, my high bid is REALLY not that high.
I'll PM you with a number.

Ed

Best of luck to you on this nice example and I hope the bids remain low as well. I have curbed my egas for now until I can move a few to make more room.

I have to say that I admire the courtesy with which you guys deal with each other. It is a nice axe and the price seems very reasonable so far. Instead of going back and forth about who "Must" have this guitar you choose to talk about it, figure out who would like to have it the most, and support that person. Too bad the people in leadership positions in our country choose not to behave the same way. Mucho Kudos :D

We shouldn't overlook this one - it's the most figured top I've ever seen on an Ultima. Needs a little wiring and the pickups aren't original but I know it's been floating out there for quite a while - maybe the seller is willing to listen to an offer at this point. http://www.ebay.com/itm/200655784257?ss ... 1438.l2649
If I wasn't in E-gas remission/hiatus I'd give this one some serious consideration just for the top alone.

Yeah, that guy has been up there for a long time. Guess it's the pickups that keep it from selling.

I've been thinking of grabbing this one myself... but the pick ups and tuners have kept me away.

I can't recall but I'm thinking 53's.

Here's some spec on the 53's

Well I hope that 45's would suffice.

What used to be my only '53 is now in Tim Sr.'s x935...
