I have a very slightly used Electra X 930 that I am forced to sell due to financial circumstances.

I purchased this guitar in 1984 with full intention to learn how to play it.

Other than a few attempts to teach myself to play, it's been unused for the better part of 29 years.

Can anyone help me determine what the value of this guitar is?

Thank you!

I would wait and see if anyone here on the forums is interested. You can be sure that the people here know the value of these guitars, and they're a very fair bunch. I myself have a lot to learn still, but if you're looking to unload an Electra into some loving arms you've some to the right place.

It sounds like it's in pretty good condition, but something as minor as a few scratches and dings can really affect the value of guitars. I suggest you get some pictures up if you're able to, and give as through a description on its condition as you can.

Best of luck!

+1 on what thickey said. A real factor on value is also whether or not you have a case - original or otherwise - and whether you have the modules that would have come with it. We don't see very many 930's come down the pike and I bet you could find a willing buyer here on the board.

Welcome Mr.M.,

I can give you some point of reference on what a "slightly" used x940 went for on Ebay just this past February.

Originally listed at $1599 for 10 days with one offer (mine) refused. Relisted at $1199 with no offers until I made a 2nd offer with a couple days remaining. My offer of $625 was accepted and I was overcharged $60 shipping to bring the grand total to $685.

Original case, original leather strap, all the original case candy... and I paid $125 too much at minimum. The condition was overstated as "museum quality", "time-capsule" & the like.

It has more than enough dings, scratches, worming, fret AND fretboard wear. Call it in excellent to extremely good PLAYER'S condition.

Lots of pictures will tell us what we will need to know to help you with your guitar.

That is a beauty!

Depending on which (if any) modules you have and playability I'm thinking $500+ easy if all is on order electronically and so forth.
