I have been considering buying an X730 (tobacco sunburst) for sometime and noticed it does not seem to be one of the more desireable models. Roughly, what should a good stock example with the case and no modules sell for? I believe I am mostly attracted to the fact that the guitar was associated with the Outlaws who I saw live several times in the 70's.

Like most of you, I need another guitar like The Rolling Stones need a new singer. Please, just throw some Outlaw info at me if you can...

Well as with most all the electra models prices are on the rise so if I wanted one I would get it now. As for the tobacco burst Outlaw model I would wstimate a good price range for an original working model in good condition(player grade with normal wear and dings etc) with a hard case and no MPC modules to be from $400+ range with the higher ranges being better quality and more goodies etc. These are great guitars and one of the original Electra models that were not based off other style guitars.

Nice Grover tuners. pretty substantial neck - some have ebony fretboards. Solid all around build and as mortarman said - UNIQUE! I also agree that they seem to be showing up with less frequency these days. It might not jump directly to #1 guitar status but they're good players and if there is a signature Electra model, The Outlaw is probably it.

You guys are great...but I believe the best selling point though is..."They ain't making any more of them!" Guess I better go ahead and grab one while I still can.
