8K buy it now, but it has a very reasonable starting bid... of FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS!!! Short but sweet description, with the emphasis on 'I do not know much of anything...':

Up for sale is a valuable 1978 Electra guitar. It comes with a neck strap and case. Guitar has a few small chips and a small scratch, but other than that it is in great condition. I do not know much of anything else about the guitar, but if you have any questions, contact me.

That's only a thousand dollars per neck bolt... I have a feeling we'll be scrolling past this auction for a few months.

Ha, I was hoping I'd be the first person to post about it; maybe with a title like 'DEAL OF A LIFETIME!'
Doesn't look like he knows much of anything about guitars in general. All the same JD, if this sells I might buy one of yours for 8K and list it for 16 :D

If this one sells then I will sell my one and only copy of the photo copy that was copied from another one of a kind photo that was a second copy from my second cousin of the same super rare guitar and for only 200K. Better get it quick.

The seller is just fishing-he has no idea how much its worth.....did anyone notice the logo ? its hard to see from the picture, but this looks like it could be another one of those pumpkin logos, no ?....perhaps thats where the other $7, 650 is for.......

Actually I think the insane $8,000 BIN is there to mask the totally ridiculous first bid of $500 ! .....I think this one will be around to see my grand kids....

He dropped the starting bid to $500 (from $4000) after I messaged him suggesting he was high by about a factor of 10 -- I'll never feel guilty about my optimistic BIN's again !!!

Yes, but we know you have a track record of dealing reasonably with buyers making offers as well.
