I bought a Westone back in 1990, I think. Its a strat style with the inverted headstock. One double and 2 single coil pick ups. Its sky blue in color. And has a floyd rose copy tremolo, I think. Also has locking nut at headstock. Does anyone know what model this may be?

I looked at every picture on a website. Didn't know they made this many different models. None of the pictures looked like mine. I think I payed around $400 US. Don't really remember.

Just wondering.....thanks!

Got me. :-? I have seen a number of superstrat Westones, but never a model number associated with it. I am pretty sure the Westone label continued beyond the Matsmumoku years but I do not know who was making them. On the main guitars page is a link to the only Westone site currently up. You might try there.

Thanks, I have already been to that site and looked at every single photo. A couple of the very last photos looked sorta like mine. But the body was slightly different and they didn't have the inverted headstock.

If I was to post a picture here. Just how would I do it?

lo :D

I have a (poor) scan of an advert 1989 with Trevor Rabin (the group 'Yes') showing guitars of the type you describe: inverted headstock (6 in line and pointy); Floyd Rose type trem; 3 pickups HB at bridge, S middle, S neck. They look a bit ugly - double cutaway with long horns (soz) and some have flat bodies with binding.

The ad shows they were being marketed by St Louis Music. I understand these are post Matsumoku. The few references I have found say they were made in Korea. The only names that owners have given to them are 'Strat' and 'Super-Strat'.

I have never seen a pic of one anywhere on WWW or on any auction site. Please send me some pics and I'll see if I can dig out more info.

Bye

ok, another dumb question. "On line somewhere" Like if I have a website I put my pic of my guitar on, then copy the url to here?

St. Louis Music used the Westone name into 1990 from what I can tell, before starting to use their previously acoustic only Alvarez brand name on electrics.
