OK, here's the deal, this is not my guitar, I found it on the Local Metro Detroit CraigsList and contacted the owner, and I'm just listing it here as a favor. I have not seen it in person, nor played it, but the pictures indicate it is in pretty good shape. No Case included.

Why is it a Project? The Original owner was a Tinkerer, and the 5 way is not hooked up correctly, and frankly I don't think the pickups are wired up currently. He tells me that there were two mini switches where the MPC batwings are when he acquired it, and currently the pickups have four conductors, and all the MPC's I've seen in the past have had two leads... so I think the former owner had done some surgery on the pickups and had coilcuts in the MPC switch positions. Only other info I have is that the frets have been leveled, and are at nearly 'fretless wonder' status now... not for everyone, but take that into account. One last thing is that the original owner engraved his SS# on the back of the headstock (can be seen in the photo of the back).

Cutout headstock, so we can roughly date it to 1976 or 77, has the single MPC hinge, so again, fairly early. Not a creampuff, but it's in pretty decent shape. Owner would like to get $375 plus shipping for it, and is open to realistic offers. Contact Jeff at dc127t@comcast.net if interested. Thanks, Mike.

P.S. No modules included

I spoke to Jeff, there was a recent eBay auction for a X320 with a case. Had some changed parts, and I don't think it was quite as nice as his, Final price with shipping was $360. He is willing to deal at this point. That beat up X310 on eBay currently is at $200 with four days left to go. How about $280 plus shipping? Contact Jeff at the above email if interested. Just the messenger here, Mike.

I snatched the x320 with case and it turned out to be a bit of a steal. 1 decent scratch on the top, 3 on the back panel edges and the headstock binding appeared rubbed away somewhat. 2 tuners replaced unfortunately but this guitar couldn't play or sound better! I was surprised how nice this axe ended up being, definitely a new favorite of mine...And all electronics seem to be intact and original.

It didn't look as nice in the pics as it ended up being in person, so I lucked out. Not even a single crack on the body or neck binding. I had no idea the regular Magnaflux pups were that sweet either.

It also helped that the listing said x330 instead of 320 and had somewhat lacking pics.

If I switch the 2 tuners back (and get the paper backing for the 5-way) it'll be a really nice specimen. Seems to be some deals to be had lately.

I'd say for $280 in great playing shape, you will be hard pressed to find something nicer sounding.

Glad to hear that you had a pleasant surprise with the eBay roll of the dice Jay, I tend to have more good electra experiences than bad, but the occasional lemon does show up.

That beater X310 with wiring issues ended up going for $345 shipped. More than I guessed.
