I own a Dan Armsrtong Electra model # 2246 serial # 50. It has a machined pick guard and head piece in the original gold plush lined case. I have had it sence the early 1970's. I have been told this model didn't exsist. That it is an original prototype. The early proto types have a problem with bubbles in the plastic. This one has that flaw. Does anyone have any idea of it's worth????????

not sure where you heard that that model didn't exist, but it did. there have been a couple on eBay recently...

a 2246 just sold in June for $360

and this one for $454

the DA copy had 2 different model numbers. 2246 and 2255

the 2246 model had the slide in pickup like a real DA, and the 2255 model had 2 hard mounted humbuckers side by side...
